Unclick 'Encrypt local backup'

When trying to unclick "encrypt local backup" I am asked for a password.

I enter the correct password and receive the following message despite owning and being the administrator for both the iPhone and Mac:

'the password you entered to protect your iPhone backup could not be set because backup has been disabled for this iPhone by an administrator'.

The password has already been set up and it is correct.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.5

Thanks very much.

I made sure both iPhone and Mac are up to date.

Issue is it won’t let me unclick ‘encrypt local backup’’. I need to be able to unclick.

It is 100% the correct password.

I then also reset the iPhone (without deleting data) to ensure there was no access restrictions.

The restriction appears to be coming from the iPhone according to that message on the Mac (see photo).
