Upon starting my computer continues to show a flashing folder with a? On it. I have tried turning it off and turning it on and pressing every key combination that has been posted on the Internet. None of those are working. Is there anything else I can do ?
To boot Recovery mode:
You have to get to this screen, or similar screen showing four options:
Recovery works on all Macs built since about 2008. Yours isn't that old, is it?
If your Mac starts up to a question mark - Apple Support describes what to do.
I have tried all of the key prompts suggested. Nothing happens or overrides the folder with the question mark.
I have tried this. I’ve tried every recommended key combination. The folder and question mark remain.
