Please tell us exactly what you’re doing, step by step. How are you importing? Where are you importing from? Post screenshots of what you see when you’re doing it.
Yes, you can import PNG files with transparency.
PNG files with transparency work without issue on my system.

does this mean you cannot import the file? What happens when you try? How are you attempting to import it?

Click anywhere in the browser to select the browser, then type Control + C to display All Clips.
If it still does not appear, can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing?

And where is it coming from exactly?
Well i import the file and it doesn't show up on the top where all my other imported files are.
That worked. It seems sometimes it will show the png and other times it wont, much appreciated.
Does final cut support PNG files?
