Seriously? iMac - trying to save an Excel doc - 'save as' - choices save to recent folders d.docs.live _NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE, DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. OR One Doc which I don't use. What is d.docs.live? Why haven't i ever seen this before?
This is an internet forum, you don't get to decide who responds or what they say. Old Toad's response was a link to a post explaining why you need to post enough information for the people responding to be able to assist you. No more than that. You may think your initial query had enough information, but you are alone in this. In fact, the screenshot you posted gave no indication of the location of the enclosing folders, and so was also unhelpful. Having that information would have been immensely useful. But it wasn't there.

I put all that information in the question....
I'd ask that on the Microsoft forums, as they make Excel.
Turns out it’s One Drive that Microsoft automatically installed during and update and helped itself to be my primary save to file. All is deleted and off my iMac forever. Apple support helped me.
Mr. Toad. Please don’t answer any of my questions. This is the 2nd time you’ve been unhelpful and curt.
