iPhone’s screen

I dropped my iPhone XS a few weeks ago and it breaks the glass just a little bit at the side and doesn’t effect the touch screen at all. But now, I sometimes notice the screen lag and I can’t scroll or touch the screen. When that happen, I have to turn off the phone then turn on and the screen start to work normally. (Not like completely shut down it, just normal turn off)

I wonder is it because I sometimes drop some water at the screen when it’s already broken or why?

Please help me.
