The “tried and true” method is to physically move it just before you begin the data transfer as outlined here:

Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

and

Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone - Apple Support

However, your current SIM - while it WILL work in your new phone - is not provisioned for 5G services.

Moving to an eSIM (assuming that your carrier supports it) might be the better option for you.

Transfer or convert your current SIM to an eSIM on your new iPhone – Apple Support (AU)

If you DO decide to simply make the physical nanoSIM move, contact your carrier to have the SIM re-provisioned afterward to make full use of your new phone.
