I recently purchased an iPhone 12 pro max from some guy off of facebook market place. i paid the guy $450 for the phone it appeared brand new.. i turned the phone on and its activation cloudlocked and i havent been able to get in contact with the guy again.. is there anything i can do about the cloudlock or am i just out $450 bucks?
You were ripped off. Chances are the phone is stolen. Turn it over to the police and give them all the information you have on the seller.

Hello ~ That is the activation lock. If the person/persons that you bought the iPhone from cannot or will not remove it …the iPhone is basically useless to you. If they cannot/will not remove it…return it and get your money back. We cannot help remove it nor can Apple. Take a look here:
