QR code doesn't connect to WiFi WPA2-Enterprise for iPhone/iOS devices

Hi everyone,

We're trying to create an easy way for our students at the college to connect to our WiFi network first day of school. For our students with Android devices, the QR code takes them to select the network, where they then enter their username and password to login. Easy peasy.

iPhone/iOS devices? Well, it's just a big NOPE. It scans the code, then goes "Unable to join the network "network_name". What's up with that? Is there a work-around for it? Otherwise, it's an all or nothing approach for us - HEY, you with Androids! Easy way to connect. iPhone? - well, sorry folks, do it the longer way.

Hi Edward,

do you have any further findings on this? I have found several other examples how it should work with WiFi QR Code and WPA2-Enterprise, but none of them work on a iPhone device.

or

Anybody got a confirmation that it´s not supported?

Thanks

Torsten
