Apple Music putting duplicates of songs in my playlist... they're stuck together & I can't delete one

I can only listen to Apple Music on a browser at work due to my company's stringent permissions.

For some reason, multiples of the same song keep getting added to my playlist, and it plays both instances in a row. I think it happened when I rearranged some songs.

Now, they're stuck together and when I select one, it selects them all. I can't delete a single instance or it deletes all of the instances from my playlist. I also can't separate them to put one instance at the end of my playlist. I've tried opening apple Music in Chrome and Edge and the same thing happens in both.

The screenshot below shows how it has three instances of the same song. I don't need to hear that song three times in a row!

That *is* on my computer.

But if I look in my “songs” list or “recently added,” there is only one instance of the song.

if I look at the Apple Music app on my phone, the multiple instances show up in that playlist.

That being said, I can remove the extra instances on my phone and keep just one instance of the song. It’s a workaround I just figured out, but it’s still a pain in the bum. 🙂

Sorry, I meant to say in iTunes on your non-work computer, assuming that is a thing. One would expect to be able to select and remove duplicates from the list, but I get that you're saying it isn't possible in the web interface. I've not seen that behaviour myself but I can look out for it. I have a script that can eliminate duplicates in a playlist in iTunes for Windows, but I'm guessing that won't help you.

I assume that if you look at the same playlist on your computer there is only one instance of that song.
