Top Gun: Maverick and Dolby Atmos

On devices where the Apple TV app supports Dolby Atmos, then the app would send the audio in the format as set for the device. There is no app specific setting for it. Content in the Apple TV app on that device would show the badges for supported maximum formats, when applicable for that device.

Do you get Dolby Atmos on any other Apple content or iTunes Store content on the Apple TV box?

I am not familiar with the specifics of the Xbox version of the Apple TV app. It is a separate build, so there could be a few differences in theory. The press coverage and user reports (websites) all seem to imply that Dolby Atmos is supported normally, as expected. If the app and device and equipment support Atmos, then TG:M should let you have exactly that.

Unless someone else with hands-on Xbox experience chimes in, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance.

I have exact problem. Using Xbox Series X with Yamaha Receiver. 4k no Atmos. However, when I select AD Audio it shows it in Atmos???

The standard Audio must not be in Atmos.

Check your AD audio and see if it sends Atmos.

Other than that seem need to wait for 4K Blu-ray....

AD - is Audio Description - a narrative voice over.

If you go to the far right and see the Audio Icon there will be a list.
