"TS_SETUP".

Electricians turned off the power yesterday, now in Finder shows my Samsung SSD's: "TS_SETUP". Tried Disk Utility, tried unplugging, etc. I've been using these drives for years, lots of data on them. I don't want to format the drives. I tried useless Samsung support.

My Mac is up to date: Mac OS Monterey Version 12.5.1

iMac 27″, macOS 12.5

Can't open the drives, meaning if you select it then File > Open, nothing happens?

Select one of the affected drives, then File > Get Info

Under General, what does it show adjacent to Format, Capacity, Available, and Used?

Example below:

I'm curious why electricians shut off power, and if it's related. I'm assuming they shut off power for an entire building, or...? Was there some sort of electrical anomaly that required power to be shut off?

Ok thanks. The capacity does not seem realistic so I am wondering what, if anything, is preventing you from mounting additional volumes on that drive — volumes that probably contain all the data you need.

Were any non-Apple utilities involved in using those drives? There should have been no requirement to install anything for that purpose, but if you recall installing something it may be a relevant factor.

Using Disk Utility, are any other volumes visible, or only the (apparently useless) 87.9 MB MS-DOS one?

Is the "Samsung...SSD" app launchable? I don't know what its purpose is though.

Regardless of the answers I don't think I will have an immediate solution for you, but I will ask for help.

The electricians were installing a fan in another room. I was not aware they were turning off the electricity.

I have assigned names of course to each of my SSDs. The names are gone, and replaced by "T5_SETUP" instead. When I click that, the a list of Android and Windows Apps opens. I can not open the drives, can not view my folders, files etc. I have Backblaze plus separate backup drive for each of these, but need to format the drive before starting all over again. I don't know how I could format since I have no access to the drives.

Yes, under General, I get the usual info, Kind, Created, Modified etc.
