Apple watch loses connection to iPhone

Since the last IOS updates, my Apple Watch series 6 loses connection to my iPhone SE, both updated to the latest software versions

My Apple watch is paired with my iPhone. This is the third Apple watch I've owned. I know how to pair the two devices together. The problem is the watch will unpair itself (after being paired for several hours) while I'm wearing it. I'll look down and it will be requiring my to put in my passcode. This normally happens when I take it off to charge it, not while I'm wearing it after having been paired that morning.
