Iphone 11 pro max portrait camera zoom

I am using an iPhone 11 pro max and the current software update version is 15.6.1. My concern is my iPhone portrait back camera zoom not working. The camera zoom is 1x when I increase the zoom to 2x. But the camera zoom is still at 1x. I have reset the iPhone. I have reset all settings but still, I facing this problem. For pictures, I purchase this iPhone. If this problem will not solve then I will be really disheartening.
