icloud website access windows PC

Since updating to windows 11, I cannot access the icloud website when using toolbar icon via the icloud app or typed into any browser (FF, Chrome, Edge) it gives a pop up before even getting to the login page or any display. Yes I've cleared history and cookies, checked security software, restart, sign in and out of app, etc.

the error has something to do with line 11, what ever that is. Could not find anything on this error or why it might be happening. Looking for some help or insight to this one.

Here's the popup

Hello arthurc1co,

Let's use the link from this resource to make sure that iCloud for Windows is all up to date on your PC: Download iCloud for Windows - Apple Support

Should that still persist, do you experience the same behavior with the Apple ID website? Manage your Apple ID

How about if you attempt to access the iCloud website using another device?

Also, did you have the opportunity to temporarily disable your security software during those prior troubleshooting steps?

Hopefully those details will help to isolate this further so we can provide the best guidance possible.

Take care.

Downloaded and installed iCloud app, restarted the PC, I think it was already up to date, although it appears to be updating photo thumbnails, etc. with the new installation. After restart the Google drive started download photos in the iCloud drive. (???)

Still getting the exact same error trying to log in on PC browsers. Note that it gets to the background (black strip across top with apple symbol on left and the rest is gray background, then dialog pops up as noted in first post.

Prior to update and after.

Apple ID website: no issue, can log in.

Access the iCloud website using another device: Yes can access via iPad/Safari.

On PC iTunes is working fine as well. and music on iPad is good.

additionally, icloud app on PC seems to be working fine. contacts/calendar update in phone and calendar on outlook. Photos thumbnails updated in icloud drive on PC.

temporarily disable your security software: yes, disabled and also checked exceptions, iCloud is allowed and has not been an issue in the past.

I have VPN, but it is not engaged. However, before I exited completely, I tried FF again and magically iCloud log in appears and I can get in.

I shut the vpn down completely. And tried chorme and edge and the error persists. At least I now have access again with FF.
