My watch will not get the apple symbol off of my screen for me to turn it off to reset it how do I do that

How do I get my Apple Watch to turn off all it’s doing is showing me the Apple sign and when I hold both of the buttons down it says support apple.com watch restore so how do I get it to turn off it’s been on my charger forever and it’s still doing the same thing

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.


Let's try the following steps:


  1. "Put your watch on its charger and keep it there until you complete these steps.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see Power Off.
  3. Press and hold the Digital Crown until you see Erase all content and settings.
  4. Tap Reset, then tap Reset again to confirm.
  5. Wait for the process to finish, then set up your Apple Watch again. When asked, restore from a backup.

It will do nothing but keep an apple on the screen if I hold down the button the side button it never goes off it never gives me a chance to slide it off it’s just a apple if I hold down both of them it says after about five minutes something about Apple Support restore so I’m guessing I’m gonna have to call Apple support or go to a store is that right
