Always link mouse/keyboard

I have a 14" MBP and a 27" iMac. I always use the two together and am looking for a quicker way to initiate adding the iMac as a Linked Keyboard and Mouse like through shortcuts or some automatic mechanism. Anyone know if there's a way to do this? Bonus points if it wakes up my iMac when I initiate this.
