whe I am on a website and i put my cursor over provide email it use to show my email so with one ckick I could insert my email address. Now it automatically says 'hide my email' and I have to wriye my email in full.
I have tried everything suggested nut when I go to system preferences>Apple id>hide my email>options I get this screen, which has no disable or turn off option.
Hide My Email is not blocking use of your email. Something else is doing that. Since it cannot find an email address to use, the only suggestion it can provide is Hide My Email. Turning off Hide My Email won’t magically restore the other suggestions. They should be there along with Hide My Email.
All i want to do is to stop Apple automatically putting up a screen saying 'hide my email' when i click my curser into a box that I want to fill in with my email. Why is it so difficult to stop Apple doing that?
Nobody here would know why Apple does anything.
However, it isn’t Hide My Email stopping the suggestions of your own email addresses. Something else is causing the lack of options. It could be that particular website. Has it worked on that website in the past? What is the URL to the website? Is autofill for contact information still set in Safari Preferences, Autofill tab?
Hmmm. There is on mine. Mine's already off.
That does not tell me how to remove it
You can't "remove" it. You can only disable it. Uncheck "Hide My Mail" in System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud.
There isn't an 'uncheck' box to tick in System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud.
Sorry, click Options > Turn Off.
Not clear about your reply. That just shows that there is no uncheck box. So presumably cannot disable.
When I click Options there isn't a turn off option
