Mac mini display detection

Hi community, first post for me here.

I have a Mac mini connected to two Asus displays. One on HDMI and one on TB. It was all working fine. Yesterday, I acquired a MacBook Pro and used the Migration assistant to copy my stuff from the Mac mini to the MacBook. Worked very fine.

Now problem is the Mac mini which can connect to 2 displays at most detect one display and the one from the MacBook. I don't want to connect to the Macbook display, I want to connect to the displays that are physically connected to the Mac mini not the Macbook

Hummmm. Cannot recall if I tried that combination of unplugging the display and reboot. But any way, I unplugged the monitor, turned off the Mac mini and unplugged it too for a couple of minutes, just in case. Working fin now. thanks den.thed

Unplug and reconnect the display that is not showing up.

If that doesn’t work, try unplugging the display that is not showing up, restart the Mac mini and plug the display back in.

Try turning off the AirPlay.

When does it reoccur?

(after startup, after sleep/wake, etc..)

Try the following Energy Saver settings,

then just let the displays turn off when your not using it.

Just tried that as suggested, no change. I turned off the MacBook. Macbook no longer in the selection list but the other monitor is not present either.
