After the Monterey update last week the steam login panel on my M1 Max 16 inch MBP is blank. the same for any popup window with status from steam. After uninstalling and reinstalling Steam, can at least type my userid/PW into the 'blank' login panel and get Steam started. Any ideas on what changed in Monterey that might have caused this?
Like TomB01, I have a MacBook Pro M1 (2020 model), and after installing Monterey 12.5.1 I tried to open the Steam client and faced a blank-screen popup window. Steam support's final suggestion was for me to empty the Steam folder, delete, and reinstall Steam, but all that did was delete all my game data over the last five years or so of playing.
You know, no biggie.
I typed in my login and password "blind" and can access my games again, but it's a bit frustrating to navigate an app when all the text is missing. Steam said contact Apple Support. So here we are.
"Which will you choose? How will you choose?"
