Hi,

Unfortunately, the AirPrint technology (which otherwise would allow printing from a Mac without having to install additional drivers) needs Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or newer. So, one way could be to look for a (second-hand) printer model that was introduced when Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard was used (approx. 2010), or shortly thereafter. There may even be some more modern printers with Mac OS X 10.6 drivers. Buying an old inkjet printer cannot be recommended. Instead, try to find a monochrome laser printer. Look up the printer model on the manufacturer's support site, and check that drivers for your operating system are available. If necessary, post back. Good luck!

I have a suggestion. You might shop around the internet to find a printer, or printers, which seem to meet your needs and which have the best prices. Many new printers today have the Air Print feature. This is important because when using Air Print, no printer driver is required, therefore therefor there cannot be any compatibility issues. If your Mac has Air Print capability you are ready.
