How do I stop Siri from asking me “are you sure?”?!?!

I say what I mean, and I mean what I say. I do not need to confirm. Ever.

I guess we’ll have to limit this to HomePod for the moment, because Apple insists on restricted questions, but this also happens with watch, phone, etc.

This happens quite a lot of the time, and inevitably at the most inopportune moments. It is incredibly annoying at best, especially when I tell HomePod to go to max volume, which is barely 90 dB at the loudest (related: or I set my helmet volume to MAX, so that I can just barely hear directions through my earplugs, and then Siri unilaterally decides to turn down my volume so I miss a critical turn! >:-()

If I wanted a nanny/policeman looking over my shoulder making decisions for me, I would hire a nanny and a cop to stand in my home and make sure I didn’t do anything they didn’t want me to do. I’m going to return all of my Apple stuff if this keeps up, because on the motorcycle it is a potentially LIFE THREATENING distraction. if I say “directions to the nearest gas station,” and Siri insists, “You can find out more by unlocking and looking at your iPhone while driving 80mph,” I’m dead. Maybe that’s Apple’s goal. 😢

Is there ANY way to turn this idiocy off, but still maintain the functionality that I bought this stuff for, namely a digital *assistant* to offload the work for me to *reduce* distractions?

I've never been asked "are you sure," had the volume turned down, or ever had Siri say "You can find out more by unlocking and looking at your iPhone while driving 80mph."

It seems that the issue may be how you're trying to use the device and your device settings. While not recommended, you can change your headphone safety notifications (Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety). If you're not connected to a vehicle by bluetooth or cable, Siri may indeed offer the suggestion to learn more by unlocking your phone. Siri doesn't know that you're unable to do so while riding.

Well, not the, “while driving 80 miles an hour,“ part 😜, but I often get, “I’m sorry captain, I can’t do that, but you can check this webpage I found by unlocking your iPhone!” Siri HALPS!

But the perennial response to my command, “Max volume!“ is Siri’s, “Are you sure?“

I guess that’s the limited question I should focus on here, and I should ask the others in another topic thread.
