I access my iCloud documents through my Mac

Yes, I have been trying to get into my iCloud documents with the Mac air & the little blue boxes will not open any suggestions. Oh I just upgraded to Monterery 15.6.1 would that have anything to do with it.

not seeing my documents when I sign in to iCloud on my mac I just had to rest my MacBook Pro to factory default. After the rest and the Mac was rebooted.. I setup iCloud successfully. I also checked "Desktop and Document Folder" in iCloud Drive. But cannot see any files from iCloud in the Folder app... however I can see files in iCloud drive from iPad.. I am using the same iCloud account on both iPad and MacBook Pro I am running macOS Monterey ...with all updates installed..

documents stored in iCloud I can't open my documents since they were stored in iCloud, either in Excel nor Word. I work with a iMac version 11.0.1 What should I do? Thanks a lot for helping ! Alicia
