How to add money to wallet

Is there a way to send money to my apple wallet from my debit card? I do not wanna keep money just sitting in my bank account due to random charges here lately so I wanted to just add some funds to my wallet from my debit card. I currently am using the current banking app for my funds.

Apple Wallet holds your payment cards like a real wallet does.

Apple Wallet (when empty) has no value whatsoever.

Apple Wallet is not a bank.
