How to enable root access?

Hello,

I have a Mac Studio running 12.5.1 and have tried following instructions from Apple to gain root access but none show what I have for options. Is there a CLI version of gaining access?

Thanks

The instructions work, but there is nothing that requires enabling root access. There is nothing you can do signed into the root account t that you cannot do with sudo. The root user has almost no power in macOS.

What part of the instructions do not show the options you see. There are many people who do not know what a “menu” is. The menu bar is at the very top of the display. The “Edit” menu is the one after the apple and File.
