My 2TB iMac states there is 1.76TB stored as system data!! How to remove?

I have used CleanMyMac X as well as manually removed all the caches, and unnecessary files but that only cleared a few GB of space. How do I safely get rid of all this system data? 2019 27in iMac running on Monterey 12.5.1. please advise!

You system will manage the system data.

That said:

Ensure that you backup your system from time to time. Time Machine backups are stored locally until written to disk.
Uninstall CleanMyMac, it's useless
Restart your Mac every now and then
