Changing Apple ID country to Japan

Hi,

First, thank you for reading this. I really appreciate your time.

I'm living in Japan and my Apple ID country is still Hong Kong. I would like to move it to Japan to use a local app. I have no pending subscription etc...

I'm just wondering if Apple will ask me to use Japan-issued credit card. I don't have one.

Also if things go bad, can I easily switch back to Hong Kong (I have a Hong Kong credit card).
