My phone will not download a app form the “App Store” without asking for a password even if the app is free. Then it does not except any of my passwords.

Password is not selected for free apps in settings.

I also have a iPad that does not ask for a password for apps with same account in the App Store. The iPad and iPhone are linked in settings.
