headphones are set to "dock mode" so headphone mic doesnt work

Hello,


I connected my Old Beats Studio 2 wired headphones with the headphone attachment to my iphone 13 pro and my mic wont work. It shows the headphone are on "dock mode" any suggestions on why this is happening and how i can start using the mic?

Let's start with these steps to troubleshoot a mic issue:

"Microphone does not pick up sound

  • Make sure that the headset plug is securely connected and that the socket is clean and clear.
  • Check that the microphone—located on the back of the remote—isn’t blocked or covered.
  • Make sure the straight-end of the plug is connected to the headphones and the angled L-shaped plug is connected to the audio source.
  • If you're using your Beats with a computer, make sure that your computer microphone is set to the correct input source."

If the issue remains, is the adapter an Apple certified accessory? Does the same thing happen after a normal restart?

Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the plugs.
