I have an active prime video subscription using my apple account. This works on Apple TV, now I downloaded prime video app on my iPad, but it asks my email and password (not asking to log in using apple account) .. however none of my emails and password combinations is recognized by the prime video app.. the question is, how can I log into the prime video app using my apple subscription??

I agree with muguy. If you pay for Amazon Prime as a Prime customer, you would use your Amazon Prime account credentials to log into the Prime Video app on iPhone/iPad. Since you purchased Prime Video via the Apple TV App, you would watch Prime content via the Apple TV+ app, not via the Amazon Prime Video App.

You likely cannot. If you subscribed to the Apple TV channel you may be limited to your Apple TV or the TV app.
You would need to use the Apple Account's email and password to log in.
I can't find an Amazon Prime channel in the Apple TV App, but if you used that, then you can only access it though the TV App and not through the standalone Amazon Prime App.
There is Amazon Prime available in AppleTV+.

Yes there is. Apple TV+ is Apple's subscription service. No channels there. The Apple TV app holds channels you can subscribe to which are independent of the Apple TV+ subscription.
