Accessing your Apple Airport remotely with Apple Airport Utility and an iPhone/iPad.

Does anyone know what to do after you toggled 'ALLOW SETUP OVER WAN' in Apple Airport Utility for iOS?

In the macOS version, you could select>file>configure>enter name/ip and password, but in iOS, it doesn't display such an option.

1) You won't be able to do this from an iPhone or iPad. You can do this from a Mac.......IF.......the other requirements are met........simple modem (the kind with only one Ethernet port).......a static Public IP Address from your ISP (usually only available with a business type account).

2) You will only be able to access the "main" AirPort......the one that is set up for DHCP and NAT.......not any other AirPorts in Bridge Mode that will be on the same network.

You can't remotely access the settings or the hard drive of any of the AirPort routers from an iPhone / iPad if that is what you are trying to do.

There are also a lot more settings involved than enabling Setup over WAN if you want to access the AirPort from a Mac from remote location over the Internet.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish?
