Tryed to install a new copy of OS X El Capitan to fix Mail, endet up with a OS X installer loop. Can't start up on this (my main) SSD drive anymore!

How do I get rid of the failed OS X installer loop?

I have a second internal drive with the same OS X installed but need to use the files and info on my main drive! The SSD drive icon is on my desktop and I can open it but when I try to start up on it, it is now called installer and gives me the installer loop that goes nowhere! Please help.

Check the health of the main internal drive by running DriveDx. Post the complete text report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.

If the drive is healthy, then try running Disk Utility First Aid on the internal drive.

What is the exact model of the Mac? You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac". Also, what is the make & model of the SSD?
