Iwatch: Kids profile and apps

I have my child’s iwatch linked to my iphone. I want to install the health app so she can see number of steps per day etc., however I get a notification saying “Requires iphone”.

I can receive health data from her device on my phone but can’t seem to get the app on her watch. Is it possible to install the health app on her watch so she can see the data?

Since she ONLY has an Apple Watch, all of the steps that do get tracked are in the activity app, although all other things that are tracked can only be monitored on your phone.

to see the steps on her Apple Watch, Press Digital Crown > go to Activity (or the three colored rings icon) scroll down, and the steps should be there
