iPhone4 - Delete everything and start up from the beginning

I have an old iPhone4 I want to use for a simple purpose. It is connected to an old Apple-ID that is not operating anymore. How to remove everything and start it up from the beginning again. The problem is that the phone start uo with a activation lock that belongs to the old Apple-ID so I can not go in to the phone and do it from there. I have installed a new version of iTunes but the same problem with the acitivation code is there.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately there is no possible way to reset your iPhone by yourself and Apple will not be able to do anything for you either.

Once your Apple ID is deleted, there is no fix if you did not sign it out beforehand.

How to delete your Apple ID account - Apple Support

Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.”

The only way is, to get access to the email-account, on which your Apple ID is registered. If you log into that email on the website of your email provider, you can reset your Apple ID password and then use it to disable the activation lock.

Other than that there is no way to get around the activation lock.

You can reset your Apple ID password like this:

Thank you Elysios, but my problem is that the Apple-ID is deleted, its not operating any more. So what ever I do with the mobile - updating or restoring using the iTunes - it still asking for the deleted Apple-ID when starting up agian. So the question is if I can change the Apple-ID on the phone to what I'm using on all my other devices or anyting else to start up from the beginning?
