I am unable to sign in with my current email because when my new iPhone was set up it went to my old nonexistent email please help

Hi got a new iPhone, Setting it up they used my old email Apple ID now I cannot receive my emails on my phone because it says my current active email has already been taken

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15
