Phone stuck in disabled mode

Hi all,

So a friend has given me their iPhone XS - I have restored plenty of phones in the past and have used the 'restore iPhone' option in iTunes on 2 mac's and 1 pc but am getting the error message 'this iPhone could not be restored'.

Could anyone help please?
