Pairing my iPhone 6 Plus with iWatch series 2.

Watch is fully charged.

Iphone is fully charged.

Iphone is connected to wifi and wifi is connected to the internet.

But I keep getting this message on the iPhone.

"checking for a software update failed because you are not connected to the internet"

My iPhone keeps unpairing with my iwatch Hi It's my first time trying to use my iwatch. As soon as I try to get paired I get an update error that I have to update my iPhone to a higher version of iOS. And then my phone starts unpairing. And when I check my software update on my phone setting, it says im updated to the last version. Would be so glad if you can help me to solve this problem.

Make sure the phone is not in Airplane mode and you have a cellular network voice and data connection.
