Issues with my cell signal after iOS update

I have Total Wireless and my cell signal got worse I think at about the same time I updated to IOS15.6.1. I also lost my hotspot the same time. I did discover that my plan has high speed for 50GB and then slows. I found my wife and I hit the 50GB and that’s why the hot spot went away. I was hoping that’s why my data slowed too. I had two bars and it was reading around -109db. My plan just renewed and my hotspot came back but I am still getting the same signal strength. I’m not able to use Pandora away from Wi-Fi anymore amongst other things. Could the update have affected this? I have a 2020se and my wife’s 7 works slightly better.
