How can shortcut detect Device Appearance Dark ∀ Light Mode?

How to have shortcut condition using Device Details Dark Appearance ?

How to have IF statement based on current appearance ( Light ∀ Dark) Mode? Condition choices only limited to any ∀ no value


Condition choice capable of detecting Dark ∀ Light mode frees two separate shortcut for setting and resetting Appearances. Is it possible ?

First you need a "Get Device Details" action and choose "Current Appearance" for its parameter.


Then in the "If" action, tap "Current Appearance" to change it to "Dark Mode is On":

what about when Dark Mode already on, i prefer to have same shortcut execute a different statements for setting to Light Mode? currently, i’m using two shortcuts, one for Dark , another for Light. This cost extra screen footprint & need to swipe down when my shortcuts are longer than one screen height.

The screenshot in my previous post shows exactly that – executing different actions in a single shortcut...


For when Dark Mode is already on, put your actions ABOVE the Otherwise line.


For when Light Mode is already on, put your actions BELOW the Otherwise line.
