my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 12.5.5 is hagging up a call once’s I press the sleep/wake buttons

How to stop your iPhone from Ending Calls with the Sleep / Wake Buttons

Go to "Settings"
Select "Accessibility"
Tap the "Touch" section
Scroll to the bottom and toggle the button "Prevent Lock to End Call"
