Google Pay not working in iPhone 6s

I inferred from one of the previous post that the UPI payments will not work with iPhone 6/6s with iOS version less than 13.x due to the restriction from NPCI.

Now my iPhone has been updated with the latest version of iOS. Still the Google pay is not working.

Can you please clarify the restriction is with iPhone model or iOS version?

Can you help me on this?
