Turn off google news feed safari

That appears to be Google's web page. It is not related to Safari.

Contact Google or ask what you can do about it in a Google product support forum: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support.

Depending on how you configured Safari, Favorites appears under Safari's Search / URL field. If you want to hide it, View > Hide Favorites Bar.

Favorites is a Bookmark category. To edit your Favorites, Bookmarks > Edit Bookmarks.
