Screen recording doesn't work on my iPhone

When I go to screen record, it doesn’t work. Instead of the top left turning red it turns blue with and icon that appears to be a cord coming from a block. What does this mean and how do I stop it?

Hi Ratitoulle,


A blue adapter icon appears in the top left-hand corner of your device means that you are screen mirroring.
