Hello ibmooz,

It sounds like you're having issues with photos taken with your iPad camera. We'd be happy to research possible solutions.

To get started, we'd like to ask a few questions, to better understand the issue.

  • Does this blurriness with photos, happen with every photo you take regardless of the camera mode or lighting?
  • Do you have issues when capturing videos as well?
  • What's the current iPadOS version you have installed? This is in Settings > General > About.
  • Do you have a case on your iPad? If so, does removing it help with your photo quality?

If you haven't done so yet, review the article below for tips on adjusting camera settings for your iPad.

Best regards.

Ibmooz,

Thanks for confirming. To narrow this down, we'd like to check a few other things. Does this happen with every photo? Does it happen with photos taken in all environments and lighting conditions?

Also, if you test and take a video or use a different camera mode, do you get the same results?

Knowing this will help us work out what could be happening with the rear-facing camera.

If you haven't already, it could also help to check out this suggestion from the link we shared earlier: Change advanced camera settings on your iPad - Apple Support

"Adjust the focus and exposure

Before you take a photo, the iPad camera automatically sets the focus and exposure, and face detection balances the exposure across many faces. To manually adjust the focus and exposure, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the screen to reveal the automatic focus area and exposure setting.
  2. Tap where you want to move the focus area.
  3. Next to the focus area, drag the Adjust Exposure button up or down to adjust the exposure.

To lock your manual focus and exposure settings for upcoming shots, touch and hold the focus area until you see AE/AF Lock; tap the screen to unlock settings."

Cheers.

lbmooz,

The more details you can share with us, the better we can help. Does this happen when using both the front and rear camera?

Take a look at this link, Change advanced camera settings on your iPad - Apple Support. See if there are any settings you can change that will improve the photos and videos taken with your iPad Pro.

Try cleaning the lens on your iPad Pro, see How to clean your Apple products - Apple Support.

Reach back out to us if you see no change, and let us know what settings you changed and tested.

Take care!
