Does HomePod will support Matter bridges?

Hello everyone,

I am considering buying an HomePod for my wife birthday but before I would like to make sure that it supports matter bridges.

I looked at the HomePod mini characteristics on the Apple website and it supports Thread so in theorie, it should be updated to support Matter.

I currently have bulbs zigbee bulbs and I want them to work with matter via a bridge but I need to know if the HomePod will support matter bridge.
