There’s a red microphone icon that appears in the upper right corner each time I make or receives calls on my Mini IPhone 12. This recently started since the software update. What is this about?

It means that an app is using your microphone and that makes sense for calls. It’s for being transparent about what is being used for your phone.

Hello ~ You can try turning off permissions one by one in Settings*Privacy*Microphone to see which app was putting the icon up.
