google meet link on apple mail app?

For now, I don't think there is a better solution than copying the Google Meet link directly into the calendar invitation.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

You can add Google Calendar events to Apple Calendar.

"Important: Make sure you have the latest version of Apple Calendar and the latest Apple operating system on your computer. Learn how to find your Apple computer's operating system or update your computer's operating system.

1. On your computer, open Apple Calendar .
2. In the top left corner of your screen, click Calendar  Preferences.
3. Click the Accounts tab.
4. On the left side of the Accounts tab, click Add .
5. Select Google  Continue.
6. To add your Google account information, follow the steps on the screen.
7. On the Accounts tab, use "Refresh Calendars" to choose how often you want Apple Calendar and Google Calendar to sync."

I don't think this answers the original question. The question is asking about the creation of a new calendar event with the ability to automatically add "google meet"/"hangouts" links to the invite, not how to sync them. I'm also looking for the answer to this.
