Can you set up Apple Card to use for Uber?

I can set Apple Pay to work with Lyft, but there is no Apple Pay in the Uber app. Is it possible to set the Apple Card to be used for Uber? I can enter the card info, and add a security code, but isn’t the security code you access from your phone for one time use, or does it work for the same vendor?

I haven’t been able to find any clarity on how this should work, and of course the Wallet app provides only minimalist information.

I haven't used it myself but their support article states Apple Pay is an option: https://help.uber.com/riders/article/paying-with-apple-pay?nodeId=592106a5-d512-43b0-9ba7-3382989ede61

It may be due to the following from that same support article:

If you don’t see the Apple Pay logo, make sure you’ve enabled Apple Pay Cash or added a valid credit or debit card to your Apple Pay account.

Thanks. I don’t have Apple Pay in the payment setup, but it’s good to know it’s available when I need it.
