I just upgraded my iPhone 7 to iPhone XS Max and restored my last back up from iTunes. None of e-mail sign in info or my app sign in info is there and all has to be re-entered. Why is that? What was the point of restoring?

You will have to re-log into all the apps on your new device, That is normal. iCloud Keychain password could have saved your time by remembering the login and passwords for some apps if you had enabled it.

Where were your passwords stored? Weren't they stored in iCloud Keychain?
Thank you for your response. It is a bit ridiculous that a backup in iTunes doesn’t save all of that information, especially email logins.
