bluetooth voice driving directions on maps

Siri has become awful fussy when giving spoken driving directions via bluetooth while in the car. Some times she works. Sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes she will vocalize all the turns and sometimes not at all. She does the same think over the speaker on the actual iP12promax. This is a fairly new development and includes turning out of my driveway/street and return, but only sometimes.
