Step count My watch does not count steps when I am using one of the Apple Fitness routines. I am usually using the dance or HIIT routines. I am definitely moving but it does not count steps. Is that a malfunction or is it just not going to count steps?

Thanks, but do you know is the watch counting the steps or is it taking the data from my phone?

The watch is counting the steps then periodically it uploads the data to the phone,I don't take my phone with me,when I get back home all the data is uploaded to the phone.

That photo I posted is of the watch keeping a running total during the day from midnight to midnight.

If you want a pedometer there are plenty in the app store.
